HEAVY METALS AND OXIDATION

detoxification

Toxins, exhaust fumes, environmental toxins—our organism is exposed to stress in many different ways. These impair our metabolic functions and can lead to various symptoms. Detox treatments can help eliminate toxins and thus relieve the burden on the organism. This holds the potential for a great deal of newly released energy and self-healing powers.

Oxidative stress

Oxidative stress occurs when the body contains more free radicals (reactive oxygen species) than can be neutralized by antioxidants. These free radicals attack cells, proteins, and even DNA – this can lead to inflammation, cell damage, and accelerated aging. Common causes include environmental toxins, an unhealthy diet, chronic stress, smoking, and air pollution.

Nitrosative stress

Nitrosative stress is a specific form of oxidative stress. Reactive nitrogen compounds (such as peroxynitrite) are particularly damaging to the body. This stress can impair nerve cells, mitochondria, and enzymes and is associated with chronic illnesses such as migraines, burnout, depression, and neurodegenerative diseases.

A melatonin deficiency

A melatonin deficiency negatively impacts the body's regeneration. Melatonin is not only the "sleep hormone" but also a powerful endogenous antioxidant. It protects cells from oxidative and nitrosative stress, supports nighttime cell repair, and strengthens the immune system. A deficiency leads to poorer sleep, reduced cell regeneration, and a higher risk of chronic diseases.
