In Ayurvedic tradition, water has been drunk from copper vessels for over 2000 years.

Copper oxidizes over time. Color changes or spots are natural processes and do not indicate a defect in quality. They have no negative impact on the drinking water.

In Ayurveda, water is traditionally stored in copper vessels. The tradition links copper with balancing the three doshas vata, pitta and kapha; a health effect is not scientifically proven.

How do I use the copper bottle?What does the Lebertee pack contain?

The copper bottle is filled with tap or drinking water. Acidic or carbonated drinks such as juice do not belong in it because they can dissolve copper.

Which drinks are not suitable?How is Lebertee prepared?

Milk, citrus drinks, juices and other acidic or carbonated drinks as well as hot liquids are not suitable. Acid can dissolve copper, and copper conducts heat.

How do I care for the copper bottle?Are there side effects when using Lebertee?

Care: copper oxidises over time and darkens. The surface can be polished again with lemon juice and salt or a copper cleaner; rinse thoroughly afterwards. Do not put the bottle in the dishwasher.

What is the bottle made of?Who should be careful with Lebertee or avoid it?

The bottle is made of 99.9 % pure copper, holds 500 ml and is polished inside and out; the outside is lacquered, and there is no coating inside. Colour changes caused by oxidation are natural and not a quality defect.
