Why is the product useful?

Colon cancer is one of the most common and deadly types of cancer – even though it is highly treatable when diagnosed early. Many people avoid invasive colonoscopies, leaving early warning signs undetected. ColoAlert closes this gap with a convenient, highly sensitive home test that detects molecular genetic markers even before a tumor becomes visible.

Prevention

Colon cancer often remains asymptomatic in the early stages.
If not detected early, the disease progresses and drastically reduces the chances of survival. Symptoms such as blood in the stool, pain, or digestive problems usually only appear late. Therefore, early prevention is crucial.

Discover physiological effects

Colon cancer usually develops unnoticed—initial changes in the tissue remain asymptomatic for years. It often begins with small polyps, which can gradually develop into tumors. However, if detected early, colon cancer is almost always curable.

ColoAlert is an innovative DNA-based stool test that detects not only hidden blood in stool, but also cell-free tumor DNA released by cancer cells. This allows the test to provide clues to changes even before symptoms appear.
Unlike conventional blood-in-stool tests, ColoAlert offers higher sensitivity, especially in early stages of the disease.

With just one stool sample from home, you get a precise screening result – discreet, reliable, and scientifically validated.
This will help you determine whether your gut is in balance or whether further testing would be advisable. This is ideal as a preventative measure—not just when symptoms appear.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

For whom is a DNA-based colon cancer test like ColoAlert particularly recommended?

ColoAlert is particularly suitable for people aged 45 and over, those with a family history of colorectal cancer, or those with risk factors such as obesity, smoking, lack of exercise, and an unbalanced diet. The risk of colorectal cancer is particularly high in these groups – therefore, a regular, easy-to-use home test can help detect it early.

Is this test also useful if I feel healthy and have no symptoms?

Colon cancer, in particular, is often completely asymptomatic in its early stages – the first warning signs, such as bloody stools or digestive problems, usually appear late. The test is therefore particularly suitable for people who have no symptoms but want to be screened – for example, those over the age of 45 or with a family history of the disease. Early screening significantly increases the chances of recovery.

Why is early colon cancer screening so important – also for the prevention of other diseases?

The intestine plays a central role in the immune system, metabolism, and detoxification. If colon cancer is detected too late, the chances of treatment are significantly lower. But the test can do more: By analyzing blood and genetic changes, it also provides indications of chronic inflammation or stress in the intestine – often an early risk factor for many other diseases.

Is the test reliable?

Yes, it offers high sensitivity (85–90%) and specificity (92–95%) – significantly better than standard stool tests.

Who is the test suitable for?

Recommended for anyone over 50 years of age or with a family history of the condition – especially if non-invasive preventative care is desired.
